1. Autophobia, by Art Spiegelmana sketchbook of Spiegelman's scratchy daily doodles with all their accompanying humor, heartbreak, tragedy and self-defeat.
2. Lots of Things Like This by various artists
a nice little book which accompanies a show at NYC's Apexart gallery containing much humorous works of image and text by those you would expect to see (Pettibon, Shrigley) and those you might not (Goya, Magritte)
3. The literary supplement
with a long story by Stephen King, and a few others. When was the last time you read something by Stephen King? You should pick this up. I know I will.
Also, flying off the shelf this week is David Sedaris's "When You Are Engulfed In Flames", a collection of Sedarisly humored essays about all sorts of things. It's number one everywhere.
Come get it!
