A midsummer afternoon's comic book

I just finished the first volume of Nicole Georges' Invincible Summer anthology and I didn't want it to end. It's such a perfect lighthearted, girly summer read.

You may remember that I picked up the second volume at Little Otsu a few months ago and fell under the charm of Nicole's granny-chic fashion sense and love of vegan cuisine. The first volume contains more musings about transitory moments of inspirational joy, heartfelt rants about animal rights and even a few vegan recipes, wrapped in a DIY aesthetic that fans of John Porcellino will love.

I can't think of a more perfect mid-summer gift for a hip, artsy teenage girl than Nicole Georges's Invincible Summer and Daniel Clowes' Ghost World.
