Artist Music Journals

We here at Drawn and Quarterly have recently acquired Soundscreen Design's wonderful Artist Music Journals series. The series is an ongoing project, made up of limited edition books (only 1000 copies!) that focuses on the themes between music and art. Each book is packaged in and protected by a crisp 10" jacket - just like the covers your records are lovingly encased in.

Here's what Soundscreen says of their series:
"Each month, a visual artist or musician will be asked to create a 24-page book of artworks, drawing inspiration from their connection to music. The different ways in which each artist chooses to represent their connection to music is what makes this ongoing series so intriguing and diverse."

And! Special news! On June 3rd, at 7pm we will having a grand 'ol party at Drawn and Qaurterly, launching Artist Music Journals edition 09, Seripop. Chloe Lum and Yannick Desranleau, known together as Seripop, are local artists and musicians who have done tons of work in creating original gig posters. AMJ's Seripop puts together a bunch of their designs, creating a one-of-a-kind collection. Hope to see you there!
