Destroy All Monsters Magazine

The moment I laid my eyes on this book, I audibly groaned - you guys, that's how stoked I was.

Destroy All Monsters was a band formed in the seventies by Cary Loren, Mike Kelley, Niagara and Jim Shaw (with later members including Ron Asheton of the Stooges and Michael Davis of the MC5). Between 1976 and 1979, they released six zines chock-full of eye-catching collages, photography, various visual experiments and a bit of writing too. Because these gems are now insanely rare and precious, we should thank Primary Information for collecting them in this beautifully made book.

Print-wise, it feels like this anthology is very faithful to the wild and DIY spirit of the original zines while still exuding everything you love about a well-crafted artbook. It should also be noted that this book features artwork from a seventh issue that was never released -yum!
