Jack Vance

Maybe you've read his work published under the name Ellery Queen (The Four Jacks, A Room To Die In, The Madman Theory, published in 1964, '65 & '66 respectively) which means, of course that you don't know Jack. Primarily remembered as an award-winning SF writer, Vance was a man of mystery as well and penned several novels in that genre, three of which are collected here in this new omnibus from Subterranean Press.

One of the three novels, Bad Ronald, was made into a probably terrible - but still watchable - TV movie in the seventies, but the novel itself was considered an effective and disturbing psychological terror tale of about a murderous teen who hides out in a secret room in his house, and stays there when the next family moves in.
