On Friday, March 7, Librairie Drawn & Quarterly was pleased to host Gregory Benton for the Montreal launch of his MoCCA Award of Excellence-winning, wordless graphic novel, B+F.
As you can see, store staffer Marcela had everyone in stitches with her intro for Gregory!
Gregory gave a brief talk about B+F, which tells the fantastic tale of a woman and a big yellow dog and their adventures in a colourful forest-world, inhabited by creatures both menacing and kindly!
Afterwards, Gregory signed copies of B+F for the lucky attendees with elaborate, full-colour illustrations. Now there's an author who takes good care of his fans!
Nor did Gregory himself leave empty-handed; fellow comics author Zviane was in attendance, so she and Gregory signed copies of their respective books for each other. So much talent under the Librairie D+Q roof that night!
As the guests chatted over wine and snacks (Gregory brought delicious cookies all the way from New York!) Gregory graciously signed a few extra copies of B+F. So if you're kicking yourself because you missed the launch, you're in luck, because you can still come pick up a signed copy here at the store. A warm thanks to Gregory and to everyone who came out to the event.
