Event Recap: Elizabeth Belliveau & Walter Scott

On November 14th Librairie D&Q was happy to hold a double launch for Conundrum & Koyama Press. Elizabeth Belliveau celebrated the release of her new graphic novel One Year in America and Walter Scott launched his debut book, Wendy.

We got a preview of Elizabeth's new stop motion animation, Lemonade, with original score by Graham Van Pelt.

One Year in America was just featured in the Globe and Mail's "Three beautiful new comics you need to read"! (Along with D&Q's own Aisha Franz - check it out!)

The shop was packed with friends and fans psyched for these great new graphic novels!

Walter staged a performance of the "Pals" episode in Wendy recruiting unsuspecting audience members to play the characters. This "What would Wendy do?" feature on National Post explains why you need to read this.

Thanks to Andy from Conundrum who arrived in the city within an hour of the launch on a delayed flight and still managed to make it over in time to host the evening! Good times were had by all and these two super cool books are still in stock at Librairie!
