October was a delightful month for young readers! We had launches with
Isabelle Arsenault and
Craig Thompson, and finished off the month with the
Halloween edition of Free Comic Book Day. Lucky trick or treaters who paid us a visit received
Kitaro: The Birth of Kitaro by Shigeru Mizuki, a perfect introduction to the creepy classic manga series. Halloween candy is great, but nobody ever had to visit the dentist after reading too many comics, so we were glad to round out those goodie bags with non-sugary treats.
Here are October's most popular books for kids:
Space Dumplins by Craig Thompson
A is for Activist by Innosanto Nagara
The Princess and the Pony by Kate Beaton
L'abc de Monsieur Pizza by Ohara Hale
This One Summer by Jillian Tamaki and Mariko Tamaki
