Event Recap: Leslie Stein and Noah Van Sciver

On Thursday, January 21st two amazing cartoonists - Leslie Stein and Noah Van Sciver - were at the bookstore to present their work. Tracy Hurren, the managing editor at Drawn & Quarterly, introduced them.

Noah, who is currently a fellow at the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont, read from Saint Cole, Hot Date, and Fante Bukowski, his latest book published by Fantagraphics.

Leslie Stein read from Bright Eyed at Midnight, published last year by Fantagraphics, and among other things she showed us her journal filled with quotes from the Diary of Jules Renard.

Afterwards, there was a lively Q&A and we got details on everything from personal cartooning styles and process to Stein's all-cartoonist road trip and Van Sciver's coming up in Denver with Jon P!

Thanks to everyone who made it out, what a great night!
