TONIGHT: D+Q Graphic Novel Book Club - Marc Bell's STROPPY!

Each month we host a Graphic Novel Book Club meeting, open to all, during which we hang out and informally discuss a featured graphic novel. Our pick for March is STROPPY by Marc Bell. We will meet at Librairie Drawn & Quarterly on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00 p.m.

Join D+Q's Executive Editor and long-time Bell apologist Tom Devlin for what will either be an illuminating discussion or a mind-numbing pedantic lecture!

Marc Bell's latest masterpiece Stroppy is Marc's first long form graphic novel and his potent attack on the systems that grind us all under their oppressive heels. Did you ever fall in love and then get kicked out of your apartment by a rock'n'roll group bent on expanding its commercial empire. Oh, you did. You just don't know it. Take that Neutral Milk Hotel CD out of the CD player and listen to what On/Off Schnauzer wants you to hear. Fall asleep as terror washes over you. It never ends. But the discussion of this wonderful comic will. In a timely fashion. There will be beer. And head-scratching hypotheses.

We offer you a 20% discount on Stroppy from now until the meeting date!
