New D+Q: Red Winter by Anneli Furmark

Thrilled to be able to share with the world Anneli Furmark's beautiful tale of intrigue, love and politics.

Red Winter takes place in 1970s Sweden amid political upheaval and tells the tale of Siv, her children, and Ulrik. The high-paced narrative weaves together perspectives of different characters and generations.

Politics are ever-present.

The story is still very much about human experience: adolescence, companionship, longing.

Furmark's beautifully subdued hues evoke the titular season. Full of reflection and buoyant humour, the story is a great winter read.
